Tropical Storm Allison

If you heard about Tropical Storm Allison in Houston, probably everything you heard is true. Some parts of town received 30 inches of rain in one day! Below are some snapshots from the Memorial Hermann Hospital evacuation.

With no electricity, access to the rooftop pad was tough. MacGregor Drive became the temporary landing area.

The Army supplied the Blackhawks,
lending a hand to Life Flight for the
additional workload.
The film crew was there to cover the last
patient out.

There had been about 540 patients during
the flooding.

And the Houston community did a good
job taking care of the staff and volunteers.
While the streets are drying, water is still be pumped out. And new diesel generaters are being put in place.
And here's Life Flight back in Hermann's drier days. That's their landing area up on the roof next to the tower.
